Photography is generally defined as a light recording process that generates durable images. Travel Photography consists in capturing daily life instants that belong to a given land at a given time of its history. This genre includes cultures, customs, ethnic groups, beliefs, history, landscapes and nature among many more topics, and is usually intensified by your own experiences and emotions. "In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away" - Shing Xiong
Budget, weight and versatility are three important issues for an enthusiast travel photographer. On the other hand, all this may sacrifice optical quality and wider maximum aperture. To optimize the formula, I basically use the full-frame DSLR Nikon D610 (2013). Most of the time, the camera is attached to the Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 as a general purposes lens. Occasionally, I also turn to either the Nikkor prime 50mm f/1.4 lens or the Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G, either for portrait or landscape photography respectively. As backup camera for long trips and main camera for action and wildlife photography, I also carry the fast and precise APS-C DSLRs Nikon D7100 (2013) together with a telephoto zoom lens.
